Glucosamine, which is produced naturally in the body, plays a key role in building cartilage, the tough connective tissue that cushions the joints. A number of scientific studies suggest that glucosamine may be an effective treatment for osteoarthritis (OA). Osteoarthritis is a type of arthritis that occurs when cartilage breaks down and is lost, either due to injury or to normal wear and tear. It commonly occurs as people age. In some studies, glucosamine supplements have decreased the joint pain of OA. Results from several well-designed scientific studies suggest that glucosamine supplements may be an effective treatment for OA, particularly OA of the knee or hip. In general, these studies suggest that glucosamine: – Reduces OA pain – Improves function in people with hip or knee OA – Reduces joint swelling and stiffness – Provides relief from OA symptoms for up to 3 months after treatment is stopped.
Chondroitin Sulfate ñ Multiple controlled clinical trials since the 1980s have examined the use of oral chondroitin in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee and other locations (spine, hips, finger joints). Most of these studies have reported significant benefits in terms of symptoms (such as pain), function (such as mobility), and reduced medication requirements (such as anti-inflammatories). Chondroitin is frequently used with glucosamine sulfate.
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) ñ MSM can be effective in the fight against Osteoarthritis (OA) and other joint pain because of its high sulfur content, one of the building blocks of healthy joints. Every year, thousands of athletes suffer debilitating injuries or joint degeneration. Most sports injuries involve pain, redness, heat, and swelling: the four cardinal signs of inflammation. MSM supplementation can assist the healing process without the side effects typically associated with other products.
Cissus Quadrangularis ñ Cissus is a medicinal plant that has been used for thousands of years to aid in bone healing. Today it is also used as a supplement for those who suffer from conditions such as arthritis or osteoporosis because of its anti-inflammatory effects. The Cissus Quadrangularis plant has been a healing secret, promoting bone health for thousands of years. As an increasing number of people turn to alternative medicine as a way to find healing plants like the Cissus Quadrangularis, we will continue to see more healthy alternatives for pain and inflammation.
White Willow Bark ñ (15% salicin) is the oldest painkiller in human history. It was used by the American Indians, Greeks, Assyrians and Egyptians for the treatment of pain and inflammation. The active ingredient in white willow bark is called salicin, the chemical model for the creation of aspirin. White willow bark is the natural choice for the treatment of many of the same conditions as aspirin, because it has fewer side effects and the benefits last longer.
Boswellia Serrate ñ (65% Bowellic Acid) Bowellia is a herb that has anti-inflammatory properties of Boswellia help to reduce the pain of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. The acid from Boswellia increases the blood flow to joint tissues and prevents the breakdown of connective tissue.
Curcumin (diferuloylmethane) ñ (95% curcuminoids) the main yellow bioactive component of turmeric has been shown to have wide spectrum of biological actions. These include its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, and many other activities. Clinically, curcumin has already been used to reduce postoperative inflammation. Safety evaluation studies indicate that both turmeric and curcumin are well tolerated at a very high dose without very toxic effects. Thus, both turmeric and curcumin have the potential medicine for the treatment of various diseases.
I am not going to lie, I LOVE this product. I noticed a difference from the first dose, just like it claims. I was kinda skeptical because the Glucosamine and Chondroitin, usually takes a couple of weeks to set in a work. However, I think with the combination of Cissus and the anti-imflammatories you feel the relief much faster. Working in the retail stores, I see every week customers that come in an swear by this product. This product is not only amazing for joint pain, it is great for overall pain. This product is not “sexy” but trust me, you will notice a difference with iJoint.
