BSN Aromavex 90 Caps – Ingredient Breakdown:

Vitamin D (as Cholecalciferol)
Dose – 250IU
- Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin that is found in many dietary sources, such as fish, eggs, fortified milk, and cod liver oil. However, we get most of our vitamin D, through the sun. Aromavex, uses Cholecalciferol, or Vitamin D3. Vitamin D in your body interacts with, and has an effect on the secretion of, hormones from your parathyroid glands.

Calcium D-Glucarate
Dose – Unknown (at least 18mg)
- Calcium D-Glucarate Helps to inhibit the enzyme beta-glucuronidase. This enzyme is responsible for the decrease in the elimination of estrogen. By inhibiting this enzyme, more estrogen is eliminated.

Mangosteen Extract
Dose – Unknown
- Mangosteen is a fruit native to Southeast Asia. The rind of mangosteen was found to be a rich source of various phytochemcals including xanthones, tannins, isoflavones and flavones. It also has been shown to inhibits the aromatase enzyme thus limiting the amount of aromatization of testosterone to estrogen. So it is a nice addition to Aromavex.

Prunella Vulgaris
Dose – Unknown
- Prunella Vulgaris, is a member of the mint family and found throughout many parts of the world. It has been used for centuries as a “heal all” plant. Prunella Vulgaris, has been show to protect the liver (even better than Milk thistle), stimulants the immune system, and works to inhibit the aromatase enzyme.

Barbarry Wolfberry
Dose – Unknown
- Barberry Wolfberry, is more commonly know as Goji Berry. It has a laundry list of benefits to the human body. However there are studies that show that Barbarry Wolfberry decreases the growth of estrogen receptors. So…the less receptors to bind to equals less total estrogen.

Turmeric Extract
Dose – Unknown
Turmeric extract is know as curcumin in it’s concentrated form in Aromavex. If you have read any of my other blogs, you know I am a huge fan of Turmeric because it is a strong anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory. Curcumin has characteristics regulates the estrogenic effects. Scientists have found the curcumin inhibited the growth of estrogen receptor. This is just another benefit of Turmeric and why I think this ingredient needs to be on everyone’s list of supplements to take.

Bee Propolis
Dose – Unknown
- Bee Propolis a resinous mixture that honey bees collect from tree buds, sap flows, or other plant sources. Bee Propolis has been used to treatment for burns, minor wounds, infections, inflammatory diseases, dental pain, as well as genital herpes. Now, some supplement companies, and now BSN, are marketing this as A SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulator) which works to decrease estrogen levels. However, I can’t find the studies to back this claim. So, I am not high on this ingredient, until I see some more data backing the benefits to decreasing estrogen.

Pterostilbene
Dose – Unknown
- Pterostilbene is a stilbenoid chemically related to resveratrol and is found in blueberries and grapes. It has been called the, “Other Resveratrol.” Pterostilbene, is a powerful antioxidant, a cardiovascular system supporter and a pPar Gamma regulator. Pterostilbene, is studies show that it works to inhibit the aromatase enzyme.

Trans-Resveratrol
Dose – Unknown
- Trans-Resveratrol is another powerful anti-oxidant as well as a pPAR Gamma regulator. Resveratrol is found in the skin, seeds, and stems of grapes. Trans-Resveratrol works very similat to Pterostilbene in that it works to inhibit the aromatase enzyme.

BioPerine
Dose – Unknown
- BioPerine (Trademarked name) or Black Pepper Extract, has been shown to increase the absorption of a variety of nutrients. It has also been show to have an antidepressant effect. BioPerine may help speed up the effects of this product, give you a better since of well-being, and extend the bio-activity of the other ingredients in Aromavex’s formula.
BSN Aromavex 90 Caps – Opinion Summary…

This was one of the most boring products I have ever researched. It took me a while to do this product review because I kept falling asleep. Now, that does not mean that the product does not work. There is some science behind the ingredients in this product. However, this is a middle of the road PCT. If I had to rate it this product against other PCTs on the market like MAN Sports Nolvadren XT, Purus Labs Recycle, or PES Erase, from 1 to 10 with 10 being the best, I would give it a 5. This product does not excite me. Again, I am not trashing this product by no means. All I am saying is that there is much better PCTs on the market to choose from.
